truth about some of y'all y'all don wanna hear

- "I'm super duper ill!!! I can't go out and I hate life and I cut myself and I wanna kill myself and I have nightmares and I feel meaningless!! What do I do????"

- "Sorry to hear that. I understand that you're not able to go to therapy; have you tried cutting off stressors, taking care of yourself, picking up some kind of hobby, like x y or z, or maybe writing down or acknowledging your feelings?"

- "NOOO!!!! YOU'RE ONE OF THOSE PEOPLE THAT SAY PEOPLE WITH DEPRESSION SHOULD GO TO THE GYM!!!!!!! I NEED TO GO TO THERAPY!!!!"

- "??? Well duh you do if you have these symptoms."

- "YEAH!!!!! NOT EVERYTHING CAN BE RESOLVED BY UNINSTALLING TWITTER AND COLORING BOOKS!! I'M GOING TO THERAPY!!!!!!!"

(therapist) - "I'm sorry to hear that. Have you tried taking care of yourself, drawing or making music to let go off your feelings, writing your feelings down and acknowledging them, or cutting off stressors?"

- "YOU'RE A SHITTY THERAPIST!!!!! I NEED XANAX AND CITALOPRAM AND WEED!!!!!! IT'S OBVIOUS I HAVE BIPOLAR AND DEPRESSION AND BPD AND I'M A DANGER TO SOCIETY!!!! NO ONE TREATS MY SYMPTOMS SERIOUSLY!!!!"


consensus: No, no good therapist/psychiatrist is going to look at you and say "wow, you're like, Nagito Komaeda v2, I can't do anything, your life is so sad and there's nothing to do with it, you need to take all pills we have because you're just so ill and special." 

If you aren't ready to go help yourself no one will force it down your throat. And yes, if you aren't ready to acknowledge your feelings and talk about what is okay and what is wrong with you then you AREN'T ready to help yourself.
