idk what it is dude im just missing when the internet felt FUN. and not like an attack on all my senses the second i open an app. spacehey helps but im missing the old (now dead) anime forum i grew up on... COME BACK TO ME!!!

Well, there is a current outage of media servers. Therefore, certain images and code are out of service until it is remedied.
But now that I think about it, have you tried Hypnospace Outlaw? Now that gem of a game really invokes old niche Internet and features a twlight zone-esque twist!

i get it ! the old internet had soul to it even if a lot of it was stupid and cringe, the internet now is just 90% soulless AI and recycled boring concepts, it sucks :P
i miss being a kid on the internet in like 2014 it was SO fun
EXACTLY the dead internet theory is getting more and more real is so awful. and like even when we do get cool fandom spaces, it feels like a lot of them start out cool then turn into an absolute warzone. internet spaces have largely lost the golden rule of "dont like, dont look" and it makes SO many fandom spaces absolutely vile to be in.

fandoms were soo fun to interact with as a kid, i literally cant anymore without people ruining the fun in it, i doubt fandom spaces will get any better unfortunately :,)
im guessing a lot of it is based around the growing cringe culture too? way too many people judging each other for their interests- i feel like that negativity definitely discourages the right ppl from participating in fandoms

Proboards still carries many old internet forums that are active.
As for navigating current YouTube, the time and true "before:" trick yields gems of results. Down to earth videos without terrible clickbait thumbnails chasing after ad revenue. And no A.I.!
