It's 2025, AI has ruined sharing selfies so I dont trust anyone with mine. Like deepfakes are so easy to make and shit that I dont even trust my voice on the internet because of how easy it is to recreate!
Its a gamble nobody should take atp, if you've been posting your face and god forbid your voice online then someone you have beef with could very well make a deepfake of you saying the n word or something terrible. Not needing anonymity online was a cool little one-off thing from 1970-2018 but I genuinely think its over now, I've been in small youtuber discord servers and random trolls would come in on multiple different servers making AI deepfakes of them saying racist shit and it sounding pretty real.
If you're not beefing online then its not really a problem for now but who knows, in 2030 it might become so easy to make deepfakes that people will do it over minor disagreements. Instead of portraying you as the soy wojak they instead send a video of "you" spouting about how the holocaust didnt happen or something, madness
For me taking selfies has always been a very passionate hobby of mine. Even in this day of age where AI seems to be everywhere and people seem to care less about posting everyone's face everywhere without permission
But it's all about the memories honestly, I always look back at photos of myself or the people I've hang out with and the nostalgia is almost spontaneous! I like to share my art and express myself through my clothing, and I feel like everyone should have that feeling no matter the discomforts :D
We're just different ig, I've taken nearly a thousand photos of things, my friends and me over the past few years but I dont share them online
I beef a lot online so having that layer of security is good to have, I'm a bit of a privacy schizo and idk what the future holds so better safe than sorry yaknow?
