Sunday morning is usually I go to walk for exercise and seeing something interesting at the market vendors that only open at Sunday morning, theres so many people selling things like foods, drinks, fruits, veggies, toys, phone case, boba, photo card, stickers, and many others. I look around, then saw a man selling glazed fruit skewers, it's Tanghulu! I immediately buy it for one Tanghulu, the price is IDR 10k for one (convert it in your own currency).

Woah that's nice and delicious! But what it's Tanghulu?

According to Wikipedia (my best to explained it), Tanghulu is a traditional Chinese (from Northern China) confections consisting of skewered fruits coated in a heated sugar syrup then let it cool down to harden the sugar. Originally Chinese hawthorne is the traditional fruit is used, while in Qing dynasty, grapes and walnuts were used too, in modern times fruit choices have become more diverse, like mandarin oranges, strawberries, blueberries, kiwis, bananas, pineapples, and cherry tomatoes.
Mine, I bought was four grapes and one small Mandarin orange in the middle (look at the the emoji border/dividers which is why I choose it today).

So what's your experience eating Tanghulu? Will you make it in your home?

It was delicious but sticky! ( I should eat carefully to prevent the stickyness), the mix of skewered fresh fruits coated in hardened caramelized sugar make me want another one, but I should not to eat it too much since it's sugary.
Will I make it in my home? Well...the problem is the sugar, the cleaning process of melted hardened sugar is bothering also sticky ugh! Maybe I should try to make it next time if I have more willpower (โ โโ _โ โโ ) but now I choose to buy it from that vendor in the next Sunday.
