The Invisible Life of Addie LaRue – V. E. Schwab

"Déjà vu. Déjà su. Déjà vécu.

Already seen. Already Known. Already lived."

The Invisible Life of Addie LaRue took me quite some time to read, but I am glad that I took my time and pushed through. The writing is beautiful, there are some wonderful quotes and lessons to be found inside this story. I adored how everything was not revealed in an instant, and instead sprinkled in through chapters taking us from present to past and to the present again.

The ending, to me, was perfect. I had a bad feeling about the deal struck and how it was shown, but that final chapter tied it up wonderfully. It doesn't make me feel as if it were rushed or as if it requires another story, it is perfect on its own.

Henry was an interesting character, I already felt as if there was something up with him, and I knew I was absolutely right when he said "Because I made one, too." I loved learning about Henry, I loved his story with Addie. Usually I do not like reading from more than one POV, but I feel as if it worked really well for this story!

I am sad that Bea could not remember Addie, what with her investment in her thesis. But I am glad she got to read her story.

An overall wonderful story, I am excited to read more from this author. <3
