#2 - Self

 

Leaving friends, it's hard, but it's sometimes necessary. 

 This is the lesson that I've had to learn time and time again. Everything eventually perishes; nothing is permanent. This lifetime is limited, that's why 'best friends forever' can't be forever, because that doesn't exist, forever doesn't exist here, how can you promise something that can't be achieved? But humans are such creatures who strive for the impossible, for them, there is no such thing as 'impossible', everything will be achieved sooner or later, even if it's not them, they believe that someone will eventually do it. Putting such trust in the future that still doesn't exist, that's a skill that no one else has. 

Humans are beautiful because they still have some hope in something, whether it be nature, humanity or even fate, destiny. No person is a bedridden pessimist down to the bones; you still have hope in something, even if you don't realise it. 

Still, letting go is hard; it's like losing something you've worked so hard for, breaking an expensive vase or ripping a piece of clothing you really liked. 

But if you love someone, you should wish them the best, realise that nothing is here for eternity, realise that everything changes, and sometimes what is best is letting go, because you've changed so much that you don't recognise each other anymore and you have to move on because nothing ever stays the same, everything grows and changes shape. 

What is there to do? Hope, only hope, hope that everything will be okay, because what else is there to do?

This road is yours, and you have to worry about yourself. If you lose yourself in someone, there won't be such a thing as 'you', because you've shattered yourself, lost it and buried it somewhere, because you thought you were unimportant, boring and tried to be someone else, or at least a part of them. 

You have to focus on yourself, but don't forget to be kind to others until they overstep your boundaries. And learn to let go, everyone does that, but not all learn that.
