movie review: trainspotting

i’ve decided to start writing reviews on here cause it’s kinda fun to share and if you guys have watched them you can reply and we can all talk about the movies yay

(should i start “movie mondays” where i review a movie every Monday? i feel like that would be kinda fun)

watched: today, 19/6/25

overall: ⭐️ ⭐️:(

i feel like i need to watch this in like 10 years and maybe i’ll like it more. because SOO many people watched this and absolutely loved it but i felt like i was missing the point or something?? maybe it’s just not my type of movie idk. i’m a little bit sad i didn’t like it because i wanted to.

-the first 30 minutes i almost turned it off and gagged oh my gosh LMAO

-then it got so hopecore and there was a montage of all the boys just hanging out and it was so cute (but i felt like i could’ve picked better music to make it fun lol)

-i should’ve read the imdb parent’s guide before watching this. boy oh boy i was NOT prepared for that one montage..

-then it was just..confusing? i just felt like the whole time i couldn’t stop thinking “am i missing something?” like seriously i swear i missed the point.

-the ending was really really good but i felt like the ending was the only part of the movie that i liked (also the bridge scene at the end was so aesthetic i want that as my background HAH)

so lmk if anyone has watched this and how you felt because idk maybe i should rewatch it later in life and i’ll understand it more?
