Chapter 2

Chapter 2: lights, Camera, Action!

Kai packed a backpack of 5 ramen packs, extra money he hid behind his bed and two hoodies. Rain also packed a messenger bag of granola bars, some money, a skirt she hid from her mom and two chargers a fully charged portable one and a normal one. Dave hadn’t woken up yet he normally woke up at 2:30 pm,it was 9:13 am, Kai slipped out of the house with his backpack and some red and blue hair dye they bought earlier at around 7:56 am. Ella was awake she was just finishing with a customer so, Rain left the house with her messenger bag and her mother’s hair extensions since they had the same hair color, brown. The two met up at Sheiluribe park, “HIII!!!” Rain greeted Kai excitedly, she loved seeing them. “Hey!” Kai responded they were also excited but it was less hearable in their voice more seeable in their body language, they were waving aggressively. “So, I brought hair dye since we need to disguise ourselves at least a bit” Kai explained “So, red or blue?” Kai questioned, “Ooo! I’ll take blue and I brought hair extensions!!” Rain responded, she was excited to have long hair. “Aright I’ll take red! And we should dye those too! So we can use a sink so rinse the hair dye, the gas station owner agreed to let us dye our hair in the bathroom as long as we help stock the shelves.” Kai informed Rain about the hair plan, they both walked to the gas station. “Your dad notice you left?” Rain questioned, “nope, he’s still asleep, your mother notice?” Kai responded, “Nah! She was finishing up with a customer or sleeping with another man.” Rain joked but her mother was.  Once they got to the gas station the owner told them what they needed to stock and which sink still worked well enough to wash out the dye, once they finished the shelves they were let into the employees bathroom. Rain used the blue dye, coating her hair then started working on the extensions, Kai did their hair which took less time since their hair was shorter than Rain’s. “So we just have to wait?” Rain questioned while reading the directions on the dye bottle, “yep! 30 minutes it says once the clock in the main room hits 11:30.” Kai responded, “Nerd.” Rain teased them. Rain’s result was a deep navy blue and Kai’s result was a nice dark ruby red color.
