AI dystoria is real chat

PLEASE, tell me I'm not paranoid but the incorporation of AI in our daily lives has been making me INSANE. Seeing this new 'Meta AI' in my WhatsApp & Instagram search bars was the last straw istg. No because wdym WHATSAPP. When in the world I'll find it useful to use AI in a freaking CHATTING app??? Make it make sense. 

Have y'all seen the flipping AI in the NOTEPAD app (usually found on pcs & laptops)? Like hello?? This basic primitive note app where I cannot even make my TEXT BOLD OR ITALISED? You have your evil artificial (and I'm putting an EMPHASIS on that word) 'intelligence' (and putting that in quotes to UNDERMINE its intelligences-ness) in the damn Notepad to do what?? To reorganise my notes?? To summarise smth??? Big corps investing billions of dollars to make people lose the basic information and writing literacy skills they ALREADY lack... I wish I was surprised lol

AI generated BS is annoying me so much because it scrapes ACTUAL art made by actual people. They didn't go through blood, sweat and tears for their art to be fed to generative AI, so it could poop out a cheap, low quality, CLEARLY generated piece of garbage, whether it's for writing a script for Shawshank Redemption 2 or 'painting' Mona Lisa's lost twin sister.

'I used AI to generate myself as a Studio Ghibli character!!🤗🤗' GO AWAY FROM ME. I'm spraying a repellent all over you as we speak. Just a reminder that you're disrespecting a studio that spent two years animating a SINGLE scene. <33 THIS is what I call actual, real, raw effort. Since when did putting effort into the work you're passionate about is considered cringe? Sorry, I forgot we're living in a capitalist world.

Another gentle reminder that any kind of GENERATIVE AI (ChatGPT, as an example) actually poses a real threat on the environment every time someone asks it bs like 'How do I find a girlfriend in 2025'. When generating a response ('get your shi1 together'), it goes through a huge number of calculations, The servers that maintain these systems (as in, actual blocks filled with wires and powered with electricity) get so hot, they need ridiculous amounts of water to cool them down. The amount of water used from a single ChatGPT response is ten times greater than a Google search. Well, it was, until our beloved (/sarc) Google Chrome incorporated their stupendous (/sarc) Gemini Assistant in the freaking SEARCH BAR. So you (and millions of other people) not only get misleading and inaccurate summaries, but also spend even MORE water on this, whether we want it or not. I haven't found a way to turn Gemini off in my google settings either (tearing my hair out cutely), the only working way is typing '-ai' at the end of every search one does, which is flipping RIDICULOUS.

I miss pre-AI world SO much. This amount of it just harms us and I do not know why corps keep pushing onto that.
