Blog #4

I just got back from a flight back to America, yesterday. It was a long flight but I've done it a bunch and afterwards it felt like it flew by. hehe

Today my whole family woke up around 5am (because of jet lag) and hung out with our cats. One of our cats, the ginger (S) is a very outdoorsy cat and loves to hunt. However, the last few times my dad and I have gone away to the UK S has gone out and disappeared for a while (2-6 weeks).

So we decided to keep him in this time, which he wasn't happy about. Today we let him out again and he was so happy, he stayed around the house though -- probably because it's raining. I go to the backdoor window and see S is carrying a bird. I go out there and tell him to drop it; he does and I think it's dead -- it looks very dead -- and then it blinks a few times and I die a bit inside. 

I think it's paralysed to I just go inside for a moment and try to decide whether I put it out of its misery, since I know S isn't planning on killing it. I go back out there and pick it up, hoping to bring it in and see if it will eat or drink anything while I continue to debate what to do. THEN it hops out of my hand and I have to chase it all around my house. I catch her eventually and take her out away from my cats and watch her flutter away (which means her wingers are okay thankfully)

But now Im tired again so Im going back to sleep.
