Grocery Shopping or how to become Sisyphus

Out of all the repetitive tasks brought on by human life, grocery shopping has to be one of the worst. If you're on a tight budget it's even worse. It feels like a lot of loss for the little win of feeding yourself, thus having less food, making the next grocery run more imminent each day. I guess that if grocery stores were a more pleasant environment it would feel less like the worst thing on earth. But they're not pleasant, the neon lights are harsh, the floors can be sticky, people can be loud and I'm always more worried about rent each time I go buy food. At least laundry days don't make me feel like absolute death, there's a direct sensory appeal to it. Cleaning makes me feel like Freddie Mercury in his cunty housewife drag. Grocery shopping makes me dream of a revolution, and cheaper good food, and running into the woods to become an hermit who eats moss.
