Like a child of the mind, conceptually the idea of limited growth seems great, but in actuality a 7 foot 300 pound baby is something intense and difficult to grapple with. Our understanding of this concept is Ironically highly limited, because the potential of unlimited growth is actually unlimited, although most of it is completely debaucherous and to be honest, a bit messy.
Let's use another example, everyone: man, woman, child or whatever else all have a similar vision for the world in the sense that we all want to have one thing, a fat set of titties. However, we can't have titties of unlimited size with our limited back muscles, unable to hold up our giant breasts. I suppose we could have unlimited bra sizes and back braces to help us with these huge tits but I think realistically we could set an upper limit in accordance to spinal damage versus self image and attractiveness.
However, often we find this type of intellectual discourse to be taboo, because we live in a capitalistic model of unlimited growth, so things like regulation and moderation are simply out of the question. It is not a respected opinion to say that nobody should have enormous breasts that dwarf even their own chest and head, making them a sort of nipped phalanx, so in that sense we do not have room for unlimited growth of argument.
I hope that one day the world can do better, but that also is a form of growth, so perhaps I don't want that, all I want is a private island with no food scarcity.
