Painted this one pretty quickly, I was sort of inspired by some late-gothic altarpieces I saw in the Hungarian National Gallery a couple of months ago, instead of making the sky blue they would gild it with gold which i thought was super neat!! Mine obviously isnt as detailed as I am still figuring out my style but it was a lot of fun to make
Also some examples:
Saint Martin and the Beggar. Feast-day side of the detail of an altar wing, provenance unknown, from the collection of Miklós Jankovich
Vision of St. Anthony the Hermit. Detail of an altar wing from the Church of Saint Anthony in Szepesbéla (today Spišská Belá, Slovakia)
The Nativity. Detail of the feast-day side of an altar wing from Szepeshely (today Spišská Kapitula, Slovakia)

Painter!!!!
This is awesome!!! but I just wanted to ask, what's rendering? is it just painting? i don't understand and I'm an artist and when people say they're rendering i just see them shading or painting so
Yeah that’s basically it. For me I usually do flat colors and then some other effect layers like multiply or overlay on top for basic shading and lighting, after that i create a “rendering” layer where i paint on top of everything ive drawn to clean things up! Love the murder drones pfp btw!!
