Yesterday night I had an eruption of inspiration and creative energy to write out my little ghost story. It's such a revelation to me when I pull together plot points and twists and think up new exciting things. I even began to plot the story out, so far getting a clear understanding of I act and beginning of II act. It's cool!
But I have the same problem as many of writers and artistic individuals like myself - the fact these sort of creative outbursts only come along every single while. I suppose one can blame the fact that work or school may get in the way, but y'know, it's only a part of life. And since summer break for me is here, I think, in my situation, I'll have to "blame" my laziness, that I cannot quite get myself together to write anything. I love lack of discipline, but this is ridiculous! I decided that laziness is to blame, but not an excuse. Wait, does that make sense?
But hey! This summer I've been actually trying to create and write my stories, and just like last night's actions say so far about my work - it's been going quite great! Although I would like to write something of fanfiction too, I have published couple fanfics to AO3 way back and one of them has gotten really great reputation, debatably (in a sense that couple people do enjoy them and I'm not planning to delete it). Further, I don't have any ideas to write any fanfic, I did have some ideas for No Place Like Home (2007) AU/sequel sort of fanfic, but the idea and motivation had become stale in my brain, still, it feels as if there's something that I want to contribute to the fan content.
So, fellow writers, how are you doing? What motivates you to write? Is it how you feel a glorious epic flow through your veins, or knowing that there's something you want to tell to the world? What is the final push in your body before the right letter hits the paper?
World wide web sucks. Pekka out.

A thing I did for a while for one writing project was that K forced myself to write something every day. Like anything - a sentence was enough. I need to really edit that story sometime, but I'm letting it marinate for the time being. But you're allowed to do whatever. Another useful way to write is to just write down whatever you have and then connect it all later, that's how I roll most frequently. <3
