I WANT TO DYE MY HAIR FOR THE FIRST TIME

CALLING ALL ALT BADDIES AND HAIR STYLISTS PLEASE HELP ME

I currently have LONG black asian hair. It's completely untouched and I rarely use heat, so it's EXTREMELY healthy. My hair is almost to my butt crack (almost 3 years of growth from my wolfcut freshman year). I WILL NOT CUT MY HAIR. I do not want to waste TIME and MONEY bc I have A LOT of THICK hair, so I have questions. Also I don't really plan on going to a professional tbh :)

Goal: Teal chunky highlights in my black hair

Plan: Pinwheel method to section

Questions: 

• Can I avoid bleaching my entire head? Is it ok for the type of method I want?
• Is it possible to section my hair using the pinwheel method FOR BLEACHING THE SECTIONS?
• Is it ok leaving my regular hair for the black parts OR do I need to buy black dye as well?
