Finding Clarity in a overcrowded market. Warby Parker and the use of social media.

Imagine yourself looking for a new pair of eyewear, whether it may be a pair of sunglasses for the summer or needing a new prescription from your eye doctor. Only the problem is that some doctors require you to schedule an appointment in advance or the lens and frame costs an arm and an leg and you would need to take a trip in the city if you live in a rural community.

Warby Parker is an eyeglasses retailer that rewrote the rules and uncovering clarity using social media. Founded in 2010 by the alumni from the Wharton school of the University of Pennsylvania after sharing a dissatisfaction of the current eyewear market. They noticed the market was flawed, with high prices to limited access in rural and smaller communities.

 Warby Parker decided to elaborate an alternative market in marketing eyewear. From online distribution, meaning no "middle-man" to lower the price, to reducing dissonance on social media when customers were skeptical on the price. Warby Parker also elaborated the try-on marketing campaign for customers to try-on 5 pairs of glasses with no extra charge. To also ensure quality and clarity, Warby Parker also motioned in communication with their customers. This also creates trust and understanding between the company and customer.
