Dreams I've Had. (2005 - 2025) - Part #1

I've been wanting to post a collection of dreams I remember here for a while. They won't be in order, but I'm sure some context clues will probably point to when they were around. I will also state that because I'm human, there are NSFW aspects to some of these dreams. This is your only warning.

As I do with all of my dream posts, anything in blue was in a dream.

I can throw in some fun songs with "dream" in the title too for you to read with as well! It'll be a good selection. ROFL.

"Dreamscape" - 009 Sound System

"In a Dream" - Red Vox

"#9 Dream" - John Lennon

"Last Night I had the Strangest Dream" - Simon & Garfunkel

"Julia Dream" - Pink Floyd

"LSD Dream Simulation" - Yung Lain

"Chromakey Dreamcoat" - Boards of Canada

"So Many Dreams" - Momoko Kikuchi

"That Dream Again" - Vanilla

"waltz for a lost dream" - dreamcorp.

"Dream Navigator" - DV-i

I once had a dream where I was on a school trip to Boston (my high school never went on a trip to Boston). As I was walking around, I came across this glass and stone building that had a sign on the front which read “Gym for Jehovah Witnesses.”

I go in and they have a waiting room for an intense obstacle course that I decide to partake in.

In the waiting room are Uncle Dane and FUNKe from the Team Fortress 2 YouTube era of good ol’ 2016. What was strange was that it was them as people, and not their respective loadout-sonas. There was also another member of the community there who I personally never got along with, but they strangely enough were their TF2-sona.

I ended up teaming up with Uncle Dane and only remember the ending portion of the obstacle course.

We were in a stairwell with dark brutalist architecture designing with a large alcove in the middle. The room was tall and shaped like a square, so the stairs went around each wall that space in the middle having industrial lights hanging down from the ceiling. Because the room was long, the lamps were hanging from each other, almost like a rope ladder.

The stairs were so close in between each other that you physically couldn’t walk down them, you couldn’t even lay in between them, which is how close together they were. Because of this, we had to climb down those lamps hanging in the space center of the stairwell.

When we got to the bottom, we were in a subway and on the tracks. To exit the course we had to run down the tracks and slide outside of a dog-door sized exit as a train chased us down. Dane told me to go first, so I did. When I exited, I could see I was on the bridge from the 2Fort beta, where it had no roof. It was going over a stream, which was between deeply green hills, and trees surrounding the area like how the level limits are flat textures in Super Mario 64. There was a single tree in the area, which was very skinny and young. Behind it was a t-posed Heavy Weapons Guy from the RED team. I should mention at this point that I had a water bottle the whole time, and I somehow knew that he wanted that bottle of water. As he slid over to get it, I turned around and saw a BLU Demoman sticky trapping the bridge and course exit. I went over to tell how how bad of an idea that was, and it wasn’t fair. He understood, and so to make it better for him I took out a tool gun from Garry’s Mod and made his alcohol bottle unusual. I then made the water bottle unusual and gave it to the Heavy. The one community member I don’t care for came over to us and wanted an unusual water as well, but I called him a loser and said he didn’t deserve one.

I know this one was started because the DVD release of Stephen Spielberg’s War Of The Worlds had just been released, and we used to have family movie nights in the early 2000s. We had rented it from Blockbuster, and I watched it in an old Finding Nemo beanbag chair, wrapped in my comfort blanket. What I remember of the dream is short;

I was walking through a flat desert area, the sand kind of a reddish-orange. There was a heavy sand storm rolling in, and you could see bolts from laser rifles being shot and flying around, all blue, purple, and green. Somehow I knew that we were fighting the Tri-Pods from the movie I had just watched. I looked around, struggling to see much with the sandstorm. I looked down to see the laser rifle I was holding, and I kinda remember it looking like some type of NERF gun but in a futuristic black laser gun design. I looked forward and saw an abandoned gas station next to a road, and then I looked up and saw the foot of a Tri-Pod come right down on top of me.

It instantly woke me up, and It was the only time I ever had a dream that had me in a cold sweat and made me sit up. I can still see the late-night Suite Life of Zach and Cody playing on my television as I thought to myself, “Oh, these kinds of dreams do happen.” Specifically talking about dreams that make you physically sit up and sweat. This I do remember was in 2005 because that movie was new, and Suite Life was also new, and I was all about staying up to watch it.

There was this bathtub toy for a show call the Rubberdubbers when I was very little, and seeing as I was obsessed with the ocean and wanted to be a marine biologist or oceanographer, it was my jam. It was about bath toys coming to life, kinda like Toy Story, but was British and stop motion.

The toy I specifically wanted was this one I’d see on TV a lot, and was a play set you stuck to the wall of your bathtub. The commercial for the item is actually archived, and you can watch it here!

This dream was at least in 2004 or 2005, so I was somewhere between four and six when it happened. All I do remember is the ending of the dream, because it was a harsh awakening for imaginative little me.

I was in the bathtub of my old house which we moved out of not long before in 2003. I had the bath toy on the wall of the tub and REALLY wanted it, so I thought if I grabbed it as I woke up, I would wake up with it in the real world. So I grabbed onto the toy and the dream was ending, like a white light was sucking me inward.

I woke up, and unfortunately didn’t have the toy. I never did get it either…

I play a lot of Team Fortress 2. I have for nearly twenty years now, so we'll do a quick lighting round of various dreams focused on TF2 itself.

- I have a lot of dreams that are just me and my closest friend just playing our usual games of TF2. He's Heavy, I'm Medic, the rest is just a typical match.

- I had a dream once where I was on a map that looked like a high school with super high ceilings. In the middle of the map was a big wooden ship with a tarp over it. There was an Engineer with a golden wrench. There were a lot of sentries that were out of ammo.

- I was playing as Sniper on BLU team, and RED was pushing the cart. My friend was pocketing me as Medic. The game broke and the losing team could still shoot, but points didn't go up. Before this, I was in a room full of people and a METAL GEAR SOLID 3: SNAKE EATER remaster was announced in the Fox Engine. (This was 2019, I was about five years too early, but I dreamed it into reality. LOL.)

- I went to an amusement park and saw Uncle Dane. I tripped and fell, and when I looked up he was sitting next to the Nostalgia Critic and I freaked out.

- I was on a 50-player trade server chilling with my friend, like we used to in TF2's golden era back in 2013. There were people playing mini-games on the map, and I compared it to some kind of Roman utopia. There were a lot of NSFW artists I followed at the time there, and I kept opening the scoreboard trying to remember there names.

- An employee from VALVe recognized me and my friend for our artwork, and we got invited to work on a SFM trailer for a new update releasing.

- Had a dream of my friend messaging me that there was a TF2 update. Woke up and was sad to see that wasn't the case.

- A dream where my friend and I were chilling on the Neon Heights trade servers because they got popular again.

AND THAT WAS A SMALL TF2 POWER HOUR!

For context, this was a drug-influenced dream I had in 2022 at the height of my depression. Don't do drugs, kids.

I was taking a small nap next to a friend until we needed to get up for dinner. I woke up (I think?) and put my head down again as I still had time. When I closed my eyes, I started to have one of those moments where you can hear your dream before you start having it.

It was slowly fading into view through the darkness that is shutting your eyes. I started to feel very cold, as I started to realize the sound I was hearing was hard winds, and blue started to take over the black. I could see a field of snow, and I was laying in the middle of it. That explains the freezing part, okay. As my eyes adjusted, I could see a figure standing across this field against a tree line.

I just saw the vague idea of whatever it was, but never the full details.

I then opened my eyes and went to tell my friend about how fucking cool that was to watch a dream kinda start. I realized it was kinda weird how they were super interested in what I had to say about it, or at least it felt weird. Then suddenly I'm waking up again. I was super confused then -- did I wake up that first time? I couldn't tell. Then I thought about what Jerma said in his one video, to try turning on lights in dreams.

I was able to get up and reached for a light switch when I noticed the one switch in my room that isn't for my closet didn't have the tape over it. As soon as I noticed that, I woke up again. Now I'm getting a bit anxious. I roll backwards against them to see if I could wake them, but then as I close my eyes again I start to see the snowy field fade into view; and the figure is closer. Maybe half way between the tree line and where I'm laying. I open my eyes again, and suddenly it's just waking up where I was again, not against my friend’s back. It was hard for me to open up my eyes, but I did and felt something was wrong, again.

I for some reason figured they were just dead. Idk why, I just knew. Then I started to hear a car horn, and heard my partner calling my name outside. I woke up again after that, and rolled over to hit my friend again, but ended up falling on the floor. They were under my bed now, which... I don't have an underside to my bed. I removed the frame. I realize it's their corpse under the bed, and then call out finally to say "Oh there you are -- I know this one's weird because I don't have an open bed like this." That's when their body started to twist a bit, and they crawled out from underneath it.

Their eyes were different, I knew as much. The ends of their fingers were blackened like frostbite. I think we fought, or at least it was me holding them back or pushing them away a few times. It's a bit of a blur because it felt real as hell and I was trying to not die. Eventually I said something that made them stop, and we were talking about something. Their face then changed into a generic Witch looking face, but a blue-ish purple. And they were in a black cloak. I was trying to act generic tough dude, and was putting on deodorant, and said I'll find out whatever kills them, and then broke the deodorant in my hands and rubbed it on their face. They just looked annoyed with that "Did, you really... think that'd work?" look. To which I said, "Listen, I'll try anything at this point."

I think we talked about some kinda attack they were doing whilst I was asleep. I can't remember much. I then am waking up again, and can't move my limbs. I try screaming, but can't open my mouth so it's just a very quiet one. I try again, and then upon waking up realize that the music playing in the background keeps going. I'll know if this is a continuation if the music just doesn't skip, change, or something like that. (This came back to bite me in the ass when I woke up and realized that no, it wouldn't help, because I was still listening to the music I had playing whilst I was asleep. So when I actually did wake up, which I'm kinda not sure I have because of that fucking dream, it spooked me because it didn't stop or skip like I assumed.)

So, with this newfound "knowledge", I keep trying. I wake up another time and heard an old childhood friend, calling out for me from the window. I know I shouldn't look at the window because I won't like what I see, so I force myself to wake up again. And again. And again. I'm starting to panic, as this is a constant loop I start furiously going through a loop of waking up it feels exhausting but I keep going through it, and then I finally wake up.

Another drug-fueled dream from 2022.

I was in the really disgusting maze-like city which was full of these really bored looking cops who sitting on benches. There were a lot of them. Three-to-five on a bench, or just standing around in groups.

I was watching people getting tortured in cells, padded cells, or executed in electric chairs that were just randomly put about, or doing the torture and executions
A lot were smoking cigarettes, and had hats that our police don't even wear anymore. Think like seeing a cop in an old '80s film.

Was a sit up-wake up nightmare, so I assume I got shot in the back of the head whilst walking about, 'cos it was just over instantly.

I was watching this one person in an electric chair get repeatedly shocked because the person controlling it just kept turning it on and off to hurt them. I couldn't hear much from the sack placed over their head.

This one Is the only time I've ever fallen out of bed.

I can only remember a specific section of the dream.

I was building a tower high into the sky out of plastic milk crates with Selena Gomez. At some point when climbing them, I saw her tucked inside one. Eventually the tower collapsed. I could feel the wind rushing past me as we both fell through the clouds, watching the many colorful milk crates fall with us.

Then I woke up on the floor next to my bed, and Wizards of Waverly Place was playing on the television. Oh well!

This will be broken up into two parts. I assume SpaceHey doesn't like long blogs because this has given me an error twice now when I've tried to upload the full thing.

THAT WAS TRUE! SPACEHEY HATES LONG BLOG POSTS SO HERE'S PART TWO!!!!
