STREAMING SERVICES SUCK!!!!

Okay as a music, film, and fashion poser my opinion is kind of irrelevant BUT- I didn't tell a lie. I can talk for hours about how much streaming platforms are the most greediest places on earth and how the quality of entertainment has decayed over the years.

for one, I grew up watching dvds, they were my favorite way to watch movies as a kid (mainly because they were my favorite movies and I can rewatch something as if I've never watched it before). I still have my old hot pink DVD player that still works to this day, and going back and watching movies WITHOUT ADS is the best thing ever.

if I were to go on Hulu or Netflix, that we pay at least 10 dollars a month for, I'd have to sit through  a MINUTE and 30 SECOND long ads. im not impatient, i grew up with no cable at my house, and cable at my family house. that was fine because not only were the commercials colorful and creative but they were placed well so it isn't right in the middle of a scene. It was not placed SO THAT I HAVE TO WATCH AN AD BEFORE I CAN FINISH AN EPISODE AND THEN ANOTHER AD AFTER IT.... ARE WE SERIOUS? Commercials were break time where we would get up and get a snack, or take the fastest piss you could before the episode would start again. Not every five gosh darn minutes!?!?

companies are getting greedy as heck nowadays. like YouTube? if I made the mistake of watching yt on my tv, not only is there 60 second unskippable ads, but they would cut the movie off in the middle of a sentence. (yes I watch free movies on YouTube, I told y'all im not paying for movies chat). I have this safari adblocker on my Mac that is essential because I use "illegal" websites to watch movies and shows and it works so well that it doesn't even open another tab when clicking on the screen. I am not willing to turn it off because YouTube is threatening to ban me... I don't give a crap. </3

and not only video streaming has this issue, but music streaming. my actual greatest enemy on planet earth. I used to have many some music streaming services and not surprisingly they all ended up being dropped. my first service I used was when I was little. I used to have pandora. crazy I know. pandora was cool but I stopped using it because the songs I wanted obviously weren't on there so I switched to Soundcloud. that was a bust since nothing was on there either besides nightcore. I tried Spotify before but even then I had thought that the free version was absolute trash. when I saw I couldn't play the music I wanted I almost crashed out and went running back to Soundcloud. eventually I did go back using Spotify premium and used the student deals for as long as I could. it went well, I built up my Spotify acc and it was a great paid subscription. until I got the email that the next bill was 12 dollars... 12 WHOLE DOLLARS? NOT YEN, NOT COLONES, NOT POUNDS.... DOLLARS. they were out of their flipping minds thinking I was going to pay for that.

I finally moved to Musi. my baby, my favorite app on the planet. AND YALL I STILL HAVE IT!!!! I'm actually dreading for the day i have to update my phone or get a new one. but music has been carrying me since the Spotify downfall of 2023. I don't understand how people could use Spotify, FREE no less. like if you want to pay for a music service, pay for a YouTube premium. you free YouTube music on top of it and it's actually worth your buck if im honest. but free YouTube isn't that bad either.

however, you won't be catching me pay for any music streaming service ever in my life ever since I got my moms old Sony walkman MP3 player and favorite illegal video website. I can find every movie no matter how old or even if it just came out. I can have any music whenever I want with no ads. I even started burning my own cds, guess what, FOR FREE.

PHYSICAL MEDIA FOREVER, DOWN WITH THE DIGITAL AGE!!!
