i was totally gonna write this yesterday but i got caught up hanging out with friends for longer than i thought i'd be (yipee)
i'm finally getting into "audiophile" stuff, which basically means i'm spending too much money on headphones and i get to be pretentious about audio quality or something. either way, i picked up a set of Fiio FT1's, and holy shit they're good. the sound of music, including albums i already like, is way fucking improved, and i can't overstate how good it all sounds. i let a couple other people use them and people said (compared to like, old ass apple earbuds) it's like actually being there in the room where they recorded it.
i can't recommend enough picking up a good pair of headphones if you really love music. they don't have to be high-grade audiophile equipment, or even as much as the Fiio's i have (i got them for £130 GBP, but i'm a nerd and obsessed with music so), but even a good pair of sony bluetooth headphones sound conventionally good. you really do notice a difference between cheap earphones and a good pair of headphones.

Could you give some reccs? I’ve been really trying to figure out what headphones to get (mine are pretty cheap ngl
) and I don’t reallyyy know where to start
hey sorry for responding so late!!! it honestly depends on your budget, but sony's £40/50ish (GBP) range is conventionally "good" for most people, they're a little bassier than others but that happens with a lot of commercial headphones, and people tend to enjoy it. They're bluetooth too, if you use a smartphone for your music, but i will recommend not buying headphones without an AUX output - because once the batteries in the headphones are gone, they're unusable if you can't plug them with a wire lol.
honestly though, right now, my best recommendation is the Fiio FT1's (the ones i use). they're not bluetooth (wire only) but you can buy adapters if you don't use anything that has a headphone jack. they're £140ish but they're VERY worth it, especially compared to most other headphones around and under their price.
earphones i'm not as sure on, as i don't use them as much, but to be honest the earpods that apple makes are genuinely decent for like, under £20 lol. plus they make 3.5mm and USB-C ones, so you can plug them into your phone even if it's not an apple phone.
hope this helps, and lmk if you need anything else :))
