Level 974 – The Neon Library

Description:

Level 974 appears as an endless, multi-floor library glowing with dim, pulsing neon lights. The floors are stacked in impossible geometry, with stairs that lead both up and down into more layers of silent knowledge. The air smells like old paper and ozone. Despite its size, it’s always quiet… too quiet.

Visuals:

Floors made of glowing glass panels.

Shelves float midair, slowly spinning.

The books whisper in a strange language when held close to your ear.

Lighting:

No natural light—only flickering neon strips in shades of blue, green, and pink. Shadows behave oddly, sometimes stretching toward the light.

Entities:

The Archivists – Tall humanoids in suits made of static, faces blurred. They silently float and organize books. Don’t make noise—if you do, they notice.

Whisperlings – Small creatures made of torn pages and ink. They follow you quietly, drawn to your memories.

Entrances:

From Level 4.3, through a broken vending machine.

Rarely, falling asleep in Level 1 can transport you here if dreaming of books.

Exits:

Reading a specific book titled “Your Exit Is Waiting” opens a glowing elevator.

Walking backward through the blue-lit aisle for 3 minutes takes you to Level 11 (The City).

Survival Tips:

Stay silent. Archivists are blind but react to sound.

Don’t take books with red covers—they’re cursed.
