The Good News

I wanted to dedicate a blog to spreading the gospel which is the good news. And ill tell you, its beautiful.

1. Ok so what even is the gospel?

Well lovely person, its that Jesus Christ, a sinless/perfect somebody who got beat up and tortured, then died on the cross (which is the most painful death known to mankind) and 3 days later rose up from the dead, symbolizing the defeat of death itself, that anybody who believes in him (Jesus Christ) would spend an eternity with God.

To take things into context: Jesus Christ is God in human form. That means his spirit is of God and his body of this world. Meaning he was both man and God at the same time. Romans specialized in making horrific and painful deaths. The cross is no exception. Getting 3 really long nails through your wrists and feet is severely painful by itself. And now you have to struggle for air so you don't choke to death. after suffering what some might consider hell, he rose up from the dead, went out his tomb and showed himself before 500 different people. Including his disciples and people whom he was close with. And so they all saw the same thing. And so did all the disciples died or suffered a similar fate to Jesus Christ.

Vid explaining the crucifixion on a non-christian point of view: https://youtu.be/TTaSB6sAK-U?si=Ozncx10BiPUlU56a

2. Ok thats cool and scary and all but like why did he die for me?

The reason he died for you can be said in 3 words: he loved you

He loved you so much so that despite that he got tortured, he would've done it again for you (and everyone else). Imagine the person you love the most, whether it be a friend or a family member or someone else close to you, having to suffer that pain on the cross? And keep in mind that someone dear has done no wrong, and is accused with lies. You would be sad or angry or some other extreme emotion to the situation. But he did it for us all. He loves you so much, that he Sacrificed himself. (Hope i made it clear)

3. Uhm yeah no it sounds like fairy tales, he died and came back? Sounds like a bunch of lies to me.

Well yeah it does seem impossible. Heck i wouldn't be able to imagine how it went. But the thing is, he showed himself to 500 people after he rose up from the dead. Meaning we have eye-witness testimony. And now tell me, would you take a punishment for a silly lie? Maybe... But would you really suffer, get tortured and die for it? Yeah no i don't think so. But still Jesus's disciples died as martyrs (a person who is killed or made to suffer because of their religious or other beliefs) for what they claimed they saw. In terms of history eye-witness testimony is very Valuable. But what if you are not satisfied with only that evidence? Well try searching for Archaeological evidence. I am confident that if you actually seek, you will find. But don't stop looking there, you may find God's evidence anywhere if you look hard enough!

4. Say i do want to try my faith in Jesus, where would i even start?

Ok so here is one thing you can do: pray the sinner's prayer (Romans 10: 9-13)

9) If you declare with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. 10) For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you profess your faith and are saved. 11) As Scripture says, “Anyone who believes in him will never be put to shame.” 12) For there is no difference between Jew and Gentile—the same Lord is Lord of all and richly blesses all who call on him, 13) for, “Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.

The prayer already tells you, you need to really mean it. And then you should start by doing things that

1. Brings you closer to Christ/God

2. Shows your belief to the world

Things you can do is: reading the bible or try going to church or praying.

By reading the bible ask God to help you to understand the message in the book (and if you don't know where to start its a really good option to start by the book of John in the new testament)

By praying you should much rather have it intimate than fancy. God doesnt want a whole bunch of fancy and difficult words. He wants your heart. Your honesty. And how you are feeling.

With church you should do some research on which denomination you think suits you. But it should be with 1 goal in mind: getting closer to God

Okay then, that concludes it ig. If you have questions or whatnot ill try to answer  them to the best of my extend. I am not all-knowing nor does the bible have an answer to every possible question.

I wish yall a good day/night, God bless & God love yall! <3

This is a really easy and simple way of understanding the Gospel. I myself want to get into spreading the Gospel but I've been trying to study and understand the bible myself and hearing it from others helps learn. Thank you for this, God bless!
