Brock Purdy bjd part 1˚✧₊⁎⁺˳✧༚ [re-evaluation of previous progress and progress I made 2day !!]

Hello hello ~~ 2 any strangers that could so happen 2 come across this blog ,,, haiiiiiiii I’m Sourdough4949 !!!!! I am a 49er fan [and also a football fan overall x333] who is severely and sliiiiiightly unhealthily obsessed with the luv of mai lief 49ers QB Brock Purdy. This obsession has now driven me 2 start making a ball jointed doll of himz, partially cuz I’m kinda bored as hell dis summr and all mai summr plans r later on in2 the months !!!! I hope u find the process of learning with me on how 2 make a doll [as I only half know wat I’m doing xddd] and mai slightly out of pocket ranting interesting and entertaining as this is gunna bcome a series !!!! Since I have already advanced in2 the process of making this dolly and I only shared that process on mai bulletins, I will give u a quick run down mai process Ive already completed so far !! 

The very first step is 2 make a blueprint of ur doll. This is helpful so u can have a clear idea of the body proportions and also overall size. [4 any1 curious,, he is going 2 be around 34 cm tall !!! >.<] as u can see I also did a sketch of his face as I rlly wanted 2 assess the facial expression and face up I wunna give him. As u might be able 2 tell,,, I plan on making him look very pouty as Brock has very pouty downturned eyes and I often draw him quite pouty x333 I rlly want this doll 2 look liek I brought mai art 2 lief !!!

The next step after that is 2 make a base. I personally use foil as it is wat works best 4 me. The foil is gunna help form the inner channels so u can eventually string him 2gether !!! Then u cover the doll in clay completely, which after baking u can start the actual body sculpting process as it gives u a good n solid surface 2 work on ^3^

ANYWAY the point that I’m at now is I have done some body sculpting and I have cut off all his limbs. Yes unfortunately if u want 2 string ur doll ur gunna need 2 cut him up T_T but nawt 2 worry tho,,, once he’s all done he’ll be strung and put back 2gether again~~ 💝💝 I mainly cut up his body this early cuz it’s rlly difficult 2 sculpt certain areas especially the inner thighs cuz Brock has nuuuuuu thigh gap mai girl is juicy and I am NAWT about 2 do his gorgeous physique dirty. 

And now let’s get on2 the progress I made 2day !!!! 

Tbh just liek mai last bulletin update I rlly didnt do much ToT I was spending most of yesterday drawing and calling with friens,,, which was incredibly worth it btw I had an amazing tiem !!! [Mutt and Caspian if ur seeing dis I luv u guyzzz <333 /p] buuuuuut due 2 that I didn’t focus on mai doll a lot. Previously I was mainly sculpting his Adam’s apple, collarbones, and left pectoral muscle. [yes only the left 1 it’s so difficult 2 sculpt them both at once while they’re both still pliable <\333] so 4 2day I baked him so his left 1 would stay in place while I worked on the right 1. Aaaand that’s pretty much all I did 2day ToT sculpted Brock’s right bitty,,,, tbh I am nawt upset about it tho cuz liek I’ve mentioned b4 I rlly enjoy taking mai tiem. I think that’s the best thing about polymer clay,,, at any point if u feel the need 2 put ur project down then just ,, put em down and take a breather !!!! And also u could refine ur work 4 hours if u need 2 which I do need 2 do cuz I’m a very slow artist ToT but I liek being that way <333 it’s relaxing ^.^ 

As u can see here,,, this is how his torso ended up looking 2nite !! I think it’s lookin pretty gud,,, the cleavage part [????] was rlly difficult 2 make look natural tho and I still feel liek it needs some refining by me baking and then scratching away but I think I did pretty decent. Ignore how crazy his tumtum looks rn I promiseeee that is all getting covered up with clay soon where I will be giving him a realistic tummy xddddd 

Honestly mai biggest hurdle rn is sculpting his nips. As I’ve mentioned b4 Brock’s lil nippies always poke out of his shirt so I wunna make them rlly cute n pointy but they’re soooo harddddd 2 blend innnnn with the restttt of the peccccc ToT I feel liek if I wanted the nips 2 be pointy then I should’ve made the overall breast shape pointy,,,, but they r nawt so immmm just gunna have 2 figure it out <\333 im thinking if I sculpt and then bake the nips I can just scratch the sides till it blends in with the rest of the pec,,,,, but idk pray 4 me plz cuz there is NO WAY this Brock dolly isn’t getting nipples. Brock’s nipples r genuinely 1 of the best things about him and I am nawttt gunna do him a disservice liek that. 

Anyway 4 2morrow [technically 2day x333] it’s gunna be Father’s Day and I will be out n about with mai family so idk how much tiem I’ll have 2 work ,,,, but it’s gunna be early so I’ll probably have tiem during the rest of the day when I get home. I’m planning on still focusing on his torso and maybe progressing 2 the thighs a bit since I already have started working on them slightly.
