ranting about my day and political shit

I woke up at like 10:30 I think and was kinda late for a no kings day protest in my town but I ended up getting there like barely on time

some of my personal favorite signs that we made were ones that said "stop pretending racism is patriotism" ,, "don't talk about 'illegal acts' when you voted for a felon" ,, "when cruelty becomes normal, compassion becomes radical" and there were a lot of other signs we made to display and give out to people who didn't have any. there were a few trumpies who screamed at us obviously, but that's to be expected, especially in my town

also I got a rainbow pride cowboy hat and it's fucking awesome

it was a good time, luckily nothing escalated to violence but there were police just to monitor everything I guess. it was hot as fuck because its summer in Arizona LMAO so we didn't stay out there for super long, there was a person who overheated (but she was literally wearing a sweater, NOT SMART), we did have umbrellas and cold water to pass out to people though

after that though we went to this place in my town that sells a ton of cool antique stuff and I got some new jewlery, some stickers, and a really cool green jacket. then I spent like hours at my friends house and walking around fry's and Walmart grocery shopping with their family lol. also, how tf do I get better at Mario kart?? i've been playing since I was little and I still suck ass

I was watching the news with my friend at their place and saw some crazy shit, especially with the protest that went on in LA. it got violent and the police were shooting rubber bullets, which they say aren't lethal and can't do any real damage but tell that to the girl who got a gash in her leg for trying to get into her apartment. she wasn't even apart of any protests, the cops were in front of her apartment and not letting her through and they shot her even though she did NOTHING. that's a lawsuit right there girl 

if you're hit in the wrong place by one of those bullets, you're fucked. if someone were to be hit in the head, the neck, or the chest they could get severely injured or even die. "not lethal" my anus 

police brutality. I swear to god they're using the protests as an excuse to be violent, even if the protests are completely peaceful or if the person they're shooting at is doing nothing, like that one news reporter who was shot by a police officer who was seen very deliberately aiming at her. 

another thing, I just cannot wrap my head around magatard logic whatsoever. like for example, whenever I'm in an argument I always stop to think about the other person's perspective and what they might be thinking and how logical it is. but whenever i try to understand a republican's logic it genuinely hurts my head. because HOW can somebody lack so much human empathy? this shit isn't even about politics anymore, it's about human lives that are being ruined. kids that are being stripped away from their parents because what??? racist white assholes don't want immigrants on their land?? their land that they stole, that wasn't theirs in the first place???

I could say so much more about this. I could go on and on about that fuckass orange piss brain in office right now and how he's corrupting our country but i'll save that for another time because i've already yapped a lot. fuck donald trump k bye
