Ok so to start, let me clarify I joined SpaceHey a couple weeks ago BUT I have been very active and log on about every day even for just a few minutes to check some recent blogs and such. I’ve learned my way around the website decently well, but that doesn’t mean I have a few.. criticisms? Critiques? Not all of these are negative, if any, I haven’t planned what I’m boutta say, so just bear with me. But just general thoughts thus far.
So, I love SpaceHey and the early 2000’s aesthetic. I love how customizable it is, but new layouts aren’t being added? I figured this was a glitch that would be patched, but it hasn’t been, and since the latest layouts aren’t being uploaded is from a year ago, I can only assume this is when the glitch began. I wanted to post a layout, but it gave me an error page. Is this being worked on? Updated at all? I don’t really mind, it isn’t a big deal, I just would like to see some new things for layouts.
Next, I notice the sorta “most popular” page is nearly always the same. Now don’t get me wrong, I am glad SpaceHey lacks an algorithm to drag you into a toxic loop like modern social media like TikTok or whatever. But I would like some more variety, or maybe a “most popular over the past week” page? Or maybe, just a better organization to help you see things that interest you? I’m not really sure. I still agree it is much nicer to have to go out of your way to find topics that interest you, so I’m against a proper algorithm, but I’d just like something new. Idk where I’m going with this!! 😭😭
Ok so like I might update this I just lost my train of thought T-T so bye for now

I like SpaceHey too but it's mosty to look all he weirdos, satanists and femcels. SpaceHey does NOT work as ACTUAL social media platform, there are only SUPER specific categories of people here which unlike places like Tiktok are damn near impossible to interact with if you're some random guy instead of the 500th invader zim fan saying they like "Silly cars"
I feel like a spectator sometimes.
