My First New Laptop Purchase Since 1999 - Gigabyte G6 KF 16" Gaming Laptop

Yes, you read that right! Back when I partying like it was 1999, I (or maybe my parents) bought a Compaq Presario 1675 Windows 98 laptop from Best Buy. A balling multi-media machine for its day. Since then, I've had several work laptops and used laptops (that I saved from becoming e-waste). But never had a new out-of-box laptop that was truly mine.

This past year Memories by Wayne experienced exciting growth, with achieving monetization, and beginning livestreaming. Since the beginning of the channel, I've been primarily editing on a used Windows 7 laptop with Windows Movie Maker. Clearly, it has successfully brought this channel to where we are today. But, all things age. A slower system soon to be out of date by two OSes, and little options of newer games to play and programs to install, it was time to upgrade.

Introducing my new Gigabyte G6 KF 16" Gaming Laptop! A beautiful 16:10 aspect ratio 16" screen, backlit keyboard with numpad, a dedicated NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4060 GPU, 1 TB HD, and 32 GB RAM.

I'm planning on releasing a multi-part video showing a bunch of my older systems, and the unboxing of this new laptop. So no spoilers for now. But I will update this post once those videos are out. For now, make sure to subscribe, and bash that notification bell lol.

Finally, I have a modern system that should allow me to edit videos quicker, make longer videos, and do something basic that most folks take for granted... being able to download Steam! Wow, what a miracle lol. And hopefully this laptop unlocks an exciting world of new livestreaming opportunities on the channel. :-)
