I'm lowkey mad at my mom because she sometimes does this thing where she tries to correct me on a habit I've been doing since like forever and gives no explanation on why she tells me or gives the vaguest and crypted ass answer ever. Like girl you still don't make any sense. Anyways so I like was leaving the bathroom with a towel wrapped around me and while I'm walking to my room, (the towel was kind of wrapped loosely so it showed the top of my chest but that was because of my mom rushing me to leave.) she starts talking about how I should now bring a robe with me every time I get out of the shower. I was confused because like why would you bother telling me now when I've been doing this since I've been doing this ever since like 7. I say this to her, and she replies, "They're things you can do when you're a little girl and things you can't when you're a girl." I'm 14 but still this doesn't make sense. I'm sure most people walk around with a towel on after showering, even grown folks.
Idk what she's on but I figured someone can help me understand my mom's perspective on this.

I think she’s just overprotective and worried about you. It’s just what parents do they get like super worried about their kids (if they’re good parents) and that can lead to them thinking of the worst scenario and get super worried about situations they think up of that honestly probably won’t ever happen. I can totally understand your view though like it seems like she’s worried over nothing but from her perspective she only means the best for you… I think if I’m reading into it correctly
