🎬 Found Footage, Trolls & Pizza: A Day in the Life of Frankie
Hey creeps 👁️
Today was a pretty chill (but horror-filled, obviously) kind of day — the best kind, honestly.
Let’s start with the obvious:
I watched some South Park episodes because I am clearly a person of culture. I don’t even remember which ones — it all becomes a chaos blur of screaming, sarcasm, and Stan’s dad doing something questionable.
After that, I worked on a new logo for Gore&More!
It’s… weird. Possibly haunted. Maybe cursed. But I love it. Stay tuned — it might show up soon and stare into your soul 🖤
🎥 Then I watched Troll Hunter for the first time in forever, and YES — it slaps.
I mean, Norwegian trolls? Giant creatures lurking in the woods? Found footage with cold forest vibes?? YES. Inject it into my veins.
🧹 And then… okay…
Don’t judge me…
But I finally — for the first time — watched The Blair Witch Project. I KNOW. I KNOW. Horror blogger crimes. I’m ashamed. Let’s move on.
So here’s the tea 🍵:
I respect it.
It’s important. It changed the game. It basically gave birth to the whole found footage genre.
But… did I like it?
Not really 😅
The characters are painfully annoying (yes, Mike, yes, Josh... mostly HEATHER), and those shaky screams?? I get it, she’s scared — but girl. GIRL. I had to lower the volume at one point.
Still, I admire what it tried to do. The atmosphere is amazing, and the minimalist horror works. It’s just not a movie I’ll rewatch — unless I’m in a tent in the woods and feel like mentally spiraling.
🍕 For dinner? Pizza. Always pizza. No notes.
After that, I wrote a couple blog drafts (this is one, hi 👋), and then chilled in the garden like a little cryptid soaking up moonlight and trauma.
That’s all for today from your spooky pal Frankie.
Stay cursed, stay weird, and don't go troll hunting.
