SO Anyone who like Knows Knows me is Aware that i am a big time CD/Physical Media Collector. I started out mostly collecting like really popular stuff that i knew would be cheaper even if i bought new and would be easy to find. Me being ME i decided this kind of defeated the point of why i wanted to collect CDs in the first place. Cuz of this i not only started collecting more used and obscure stuff from a variety of genres.
This is how i found one of my all time Favorite albums at a Fuckin public library of all places for only a dollar. That album Being Bee Thousand which was made by GBV or Guided by voices.
At the time I only really bought it because the album art looked pretty cool, but when i first put it in my cd player when i got home and gave it a good listen i was sorta underwhelmed and confused because of the "trashy" sound guality. this can be attriubuted to the fact that it was recorded using a 4 track tape recorder rather than studio quality equipment which gives it an imperfect but really unique sound and style. after a few more listens of the entire album i was kinda obsessed because upr that point i had never heard anything like that as i mostly listened to like punk and hardcore music. aynway i think anyone who reads this should check out the album its on spotify youtube, and the bands band camp page, also the CD is like super cheap used.
