Scene kid struggles

being a scene kid is fun, but sometimes it can be really annoying. I've made a list of my biggest scene kid-related struggles ^^

1. The wind is my #1 enemy bc it fucks up my hair. I take SOOO long to style it just for a small breeze to ruin it 

2. bullying. its a given for any alt subculture, including scene. 

3. vintage sizing. I love authentic scene clothes but none of them fit because I'm not a size XS 

4. summertime. sweaty bangs in my face = hell. so are skinny jeans and just wearing black in general. 

5. forehead acne. greasy fringe in ur face 24/7 will make you break out if ur prone to it. 

6. band allegations. every scene kid has had the horrific experience of finding out that one of their fav artists are horrible people. this is scarily common in the scene :(

7. inhaling enough hairspray to kill a man

8. spilling black nail polish is impossible to clean

9. crippling caffeine addiction (thanks, monster!)

10. piercing issues (infections, keloids, ect.)

11. Knee high converse!! no one talks about how they break rlly easily and how the zipper digs into ur calf after a while. plus limited ankle movement, so you cant run, jump, or go down stairs very well  (>_<)
