Wattpad have writing contests and I'm thinking of joining

I checked Wattpad recently and saw that they were doing a writing contest where you write fanfiction inspired by a music video. I want to join but I just discovered the artists from the music video, I rewatched the music video multiple times now and I have a vague idea of what I want to do for the fanfic. 

The problem from this is that I don't really know said artists and the winner have a chance of getting a vinyl and I would feel fake if I win it. The writing contest is for Michael Clifford and the band Waterparks. The reason they are hosting a contest with Wattpad is because the music video is inspired by fanfiction.

I think I am going to write it anyway and if I win then I win. Let's be honest, I am probably overthinking everything.
