Why does one bother if someone is different than them?
Let's say I like a piece of media. I like it a lot and I like to talk about it often.
Someone comes out and just point at me like I did a crime. Like, I do not care if you don't like the media and you don't like me talk about it. It's not like I'm forcing you to be me. You have your own interests, I have mine. Just ignore or block and move on. It would be better for you, me, and everyone else if you did that. But, no, let's make my life worse and make myself regret everything I did, just because I like something you don't like. Bravo.
This has been happening since I was an early teen. My mental health kept getting worse the more I receive such a comment that should not exist in the first place.
I think this all have to do with "cringe culture" (no, unfortunately it is not 'dead'). Everyone loves to harass others for being themselves a lot. This is also why I talk about my interests less. I know it's just a "comment", but again, my mental health.
I hope this kind of people can learn a lesson to just... move on.

(Sorry for those who have me as their friend and see my blog entries being rants. I just had to get off my chest. Also, I'm not having the best of days.)

It's very common for people to want to dictate what you want to like or not, as if what you like depended on other people and not on you, and that's really annoying!
And they think you're the strangest person in the world for liking something that YOU like and not them!

Cringe culture only stops people from being themselves. Face it you're weird, everyone is weird being imperfect is a part of the human experience, don't shame me when I know you mess up too. All this nonchalant personality will eventually push everyone to be a bunch of unhappy low reactive ghost that turn invisible along with the others who don't react feel nothing to any situation, have no opinion, and are hands off. That's a boring life!
