I always feel bad for this generation of kids because I feel like they missed the best era ever. The early 2000s to 2010s was by far the best time to ever be alive. I think it has to do with the fact that technology and real life were balanced with each other.
I think 2020 was a strange reassurance or the cringe that used to be so fun back when I was younger.ย
I think Minimalism ruined everything, I'm sick of it. I've seen so many beautiful buildings be decimated by minimalism and beige, I hate it so much.
I have seen a greater push for things to go back. I'm planning on getting a dumb phone and have already bought a camcorder from early 2011. With the new IOS update looking more Frutiger Aero than every before I have hope.
Everything is falling apart, I can see it, but there is hope that things will get better and getting rid of corporate minimalism is first on my little shit list. I think everything went sideways with itย

As someone who was born after the 2000s era I can honestly agree with you. Like idk maybe itโs just romanticizing a time period I didnโt live through but things just seemed so much more fun back then?
I'm gonna be honest, it was a lot of fun. People back then actually liked to spend time with each other, doing nothing but spending time with each other. I think that things like texting and facetime replaced all that. The last time I ever had so much fun was when half my friend group left our phones alone for a month, it was so much fun.

Yeah, their definitely was. A big part of it was wanting to be unique and HTML coding was the way to go lol. Emo and scene were big parts of my life that are dearly missed lol

Haha, it really was. I was never scene myself, but I knew people who were. They were definitely all colorful. They kinda remind me of peacocks. The more color, the better.

You could always try. Half of the fun was doing it yourself. Idk if you ever seen this youtube channel by this girl AmberKatelynBeale, her videos were everything back then lol. My face was watching her dye and cut her hair. Life was so much more lenient to mistakes back then

I mean you have a very solid point as a maximalist myself it breaks me to see when people but in no effort and only wear like neutral colors no one has any scence of creativity scince 2020 and it's hard to find people with actual interests they share with you and don't get me started about living in the blandest state in the world
