If Heaven Only Knew
by: Jeremy N.
An angel once flew by me
Singing hymns and praising His name
Torture to my ears
All I could hear was screeching; an ignited flame
If this angel had hymns to sing
With a purpose of us hearing beauty while seeing Him praised
Then, why, oh why, do they seem so far away
As my arms stretched and raised, ever so raised
When God sends angels and he knows what they will do
Why do so many fly in short lengths, then off and away?
The angels who do this are merely actors without a script
While those of us in a state of dismay, remain slept, craving to be awake
If Heaven only knew of how so many angels really were
Would they still clap and admire, doing so in His name
The truth, in itself, if Heaven only knew
That those angels were not here for us, not even knowing ones’ name
If Heaven really knew of the real angels, to which are fighting by our side
Those we loved and have lost, forever in our passenger side
While they see us in pain and help us through
I simply wonder, if Heaven only knew, what those other angels do
Singing hymns and praising His name
