We need to talk about mental health.

I see way too many people treating mental disorders like they’re some kind of cool flex or a fashion statement. And no, I’m not talking about those who genuinely try to raise awareness, telling how hard it is, but the ones who say stuff like "yeah I have bpd because I took some quiz on a random site lol", I also hate seeing a video spreading awareness and people here ale like "oh so I have it..." and then making it whole damn personality. No, you don't. And if you think you do seek for help, diagnosis, whatever.

Self diagnosing can be valid, but only when done seriously like researching deeply, talking to people who actually live with it, and consulting professionals, not just watching tiktok videos or taking random tests.

Anxiety isn’t just being nervous, and depression isn’t just being sad. These are real struggles that can destroy lives, with over half a million people dying by suicide every year. So pretending to have them just to get attention is disrespectful. Mental health isn’t a trend or something to show off.

Mental health has been heavily romanticized over the course of these past years. Maybe because of medias, like movies or even dark romance books. Either way, most of the people who take their online test's results and run with it to make that disorder their whole personnality... Well, they mostly are teenagers still on the way of finding and building their own identities. Their brains aren't fully developped and their nervous system aren't fully regulated, they'd rather cling to mental health etiquettes than admit that they're only going through puberty.
(I'm talking about those who aren't diagnosed and aren't being suspected at all)
