So, my friend and I found this when walking their dog yesterday and I think it is cool as hell.
I've been trying to figure out a way to clean/degrease it, but most people on the internet suggest I boil it or soak it in soap water for 2 weeks (I believe it's called maceration), to get the grime and fat off, but it can't fit in a pot and I don't have a big enough box for it to soak in.. And that process supposedly also smells a lot and I live in an apartment complex so if it smells for two weeks I think it might bother people. Maybe I will find a place to bury it so the microbes in the ground will eat the tissue?
Until i figure out a way to properly clean it it's just going to lay here.
If anyone has ideas for how to clean it I'd love to hear it :)

i can’t see the image but basically you need to scrub the bones clean of any fat, flesh, skin, muscle, etc. use soap!! after that soak them for a day in hydrogen peroxide + water (50/50 solution) and then dry for uhh i’d say also a day. they should come out really white and shouldn’t have any smell to them. if they DO have a smell i’d say repeat process but soak them longer. if they’re bigger bones, soak longer on first time, hope this helps! i forgor to look at how long ago your blog is so idk if you already looked it up or found help but yeah!
Thank you, I appreciate it!! I ended up burying it, because someone said that was a possible solution because the dirt would do the job for you, and it was too big for me to do much else immedietly. It is about meter long, and it still had a little fat. I had seen a lot of people talk about letting it soak but i didn't have a big enough box... but when i dig it up i will probably try washing it with soap and do what you've said so it can look good, and then i will hopefully have found a box where it can fit lmao. yeah, i forgot about burying lol. my friend does that since it will usually decompose anything if there's like a LOT of excess flesh/fat on it. good goin, hope it turns out for ya :D
