Lots of ppl say my music taste is cool irl but like there r those types of people on here that say its basic af.. Listen man, i try and listen to underground artists but icl they’re underground for a reason- i get SO bored and plus, im pretty happy w my music taste (chase will always be my favourite band idc)

I mean… fair. If you’re content with what you listen to, that’s your call. But yeah, there's a difference between being happy with your taste and pretending that “underground = bad because it’s boring.” That’s not how that works. I mean, most underground artists aren’t underground because they lack quality, they’re underground because they refuse to cater to mainstream palettes, or they reject commercial visibility altogether. That’s kind of the point.
Most of the music that shaped what you call “cool” today also started as underground noise nobody wanted to hear.

Honestly, it shouldn't matter what others say about your music taste as long as you enjoy it right? And everyone has different aspects on music tastes aswell so like what you wanna and be free to explore too!!!!
