posers actually make me so gosh darn mad. "im goth!!" "im emo!!" "im punk" and they're the most basic person ever and they don't even listen to the music of the subculture theyre claiming to be, or even know the history / politics of it.. b so fr. like why is my style that ive had for literal years and have been BULLIED for since elementary now getting popular, and people who bullied me and still do ARE CLAIMING TO BE APART OF THE SUBCULTURE. it makes me so mad, esp the people who fetishize it.. "i want a emo bf / gf" "i want a goth dommy mommy" or like the ppl who claim to be goth or anythin else n fetishize themselves. b so frr...... like ALL of the subcultures that theyre fetishizing dont even support that typa stuff. im js SO MADD!!!!

I HATE posers.

This is so real! And they're the typical people who listen to the most popular songs on TikTok. They literally don't investigate the subcultures at all, right? They're so basic and think they're different.
whammy
so true! kids these days claim to be emo, but they never even been on antidepressants or cut smh

This is so fuckng real, i hate so much possers, and even more so to those who, when they get information, look so bad the people from those cultures/subcultures.

I often find that these people are normies
Remember 2020? the year where normal people got into anime and fandoms started getting toxic?
I think this might've also happened with alternative cultures, where normal, misinformed people started spreading misinformation
I refuse to label myself, I am different, I am not normal, but I am not labelled because I don't participate in the culture, I don't listen to the music, So I am not part of any of those.
Hope that people stop being so ignorant about alternative cultures
(Fandoms were always kind of toxic, the bullying of weirder people got more normalized though because of your bully now being able to be in the same communities as you and be praised because they're normal and COOL for liking something weird)

I do agree with the labels. Labels can be explorative, sure, but I find it more restricting than anything.
I find in general, the most eccentric people don't often prove to others what and who they are.
It's best to ignore them, they'll have their fun and soon grown as a person (or continue to diminish)
Don't sweat it, continue to live your life- let them speak their words without importance.

I think this generation has a huge problem with trying to label themselves. I like wearing dark clothing and sometimes dark topics, but I'm not going to call myself emo because I like those things. people need to understand you can just be yourself and not need a singular term to explain yourself.
exactly! labeling urself something that u arent is disrespectful. its ok to wear like black stuff or like certain things, but it shouldnt have to make ppl feel the NEED to label themselves. im so mad

It’s all just for clout really. This is how trends work as a never ending cycle.
exactly. when the trend dies out, everyone is going to go back to their own style and continue to bully others.
