MY TRIP TO INDONESIA !!

heyyy guys ! its been a week since i've been on spacehey or the internet in general. its because i went on vacation to indonesia to finally meet some of my relatives. (wow i touched grass (⊙ _ ⊙ )) i grew up most of my life in singapore while most of my descendants and relatives live on an island in indonesia. its about a 4 hour ferry from the mainland so its not really a developed island. most of my relatives live on top of the island so they live a very simple life. limited water, little electricity, rocky roads and traditional houses in their village. because of this, i felt superrr nervous. the locals there speak indonesian but i speak malay which is almost similar but my malay sucks either way sooo i was scared that i wasn't gonna understand anyone there. i've lived in a city all my life with everything i ever wanted so this was gonna be something new to me. i accepted my fate that i was gonna be showering in ice cold water, just sitting in the house all day long with no wifi but boyyyyyy was i so wrong. 

me and my family arrived and it was about a 15 minute ride up the mountains to reach my family's side of the village. when me and my siblings got out the car, we stood in this area between the houses where all the village kids hang out and I KID YOU NOT, i felt like some exotic creature because all the kids around us was just circling us. the only thing the kids knew in english was "what is your name?" so they were just repeating that again and again. 

omg i think i'm gonna tear up thinking about these kids BECAUSE THEY ARE SO CUTE !!! most of them were between 7-13 because the teens usually went out of the island to study or work. i would wake up everyday at 7am in the morning waiting in front of the house for them to play with them. we would usually bathe in the river next to the house and after that run around the village doing some random side quests. theres SOOO MANY things to do there. there was a river, waterfall, rice paddy, cow/goat barns (that smelled like SHITTT whenever u passed by it). i would run around while the kids chased me with GIANT CATERPILLARS because they knew i hated insects.

i felt like a princess most of the time because everyone in the village was saying hi to me, the kids would shout my name to play whenever i was inside the house. one of the girls said that out of all of my siblings, most of the children in the village loved me the most and that honestly made my heart melt.the funniest moment was when i was sleeping on the sofa next to the main door and when i woke up, i saw like 3 HEADS STICKING INTO THE LIVING ROOM, shouting my name because they wanted to play with me. AHHHH MY HEARTTT ⸜(｡˃ ᵕ ˂)⸝♡

these people in the village are genuinely so happy. they lead a simple but happy life. they dont have problems like us city people have/created and its actually so sad because we chase for so much in our life like money and materialism that we tend to forget the simple things in life and take it for granted. i kinda wished i lived there in the village but we're all chasing for things even though we already have everything so i can't complain 

when we left to get on the ferry, i saw all the kids standing on their tippy toes to see us over the fence while they waved goodbye to us. AND I ACTUALLY WANTED TO CRY SO BADLY. ૮(˶╥︿╥)ა I LOVE THEM SO MUCHH !!! i wanna go back as soon as possible. i asked my mom whether we could go during the next school holiday and she said it was possible. YAYYYYY. 

I LOVE ALL MY SHAYLASS IN THE VILLAGE, I WANNA PACK THEM UP IN A SUITCASE AND FLY THEM HEREEE
