Im falling in love with words <3

The day we met. The day my soul yearns for something more than coffee and sleep. My angel laughed, I'm pretty sure yours did too. Because while you loved him, I started falling for you. We were just friends and that's all we could ever be. I convinced myself of that lie and lived in denial even though there were such subtle yet obvious signs. Like when we'd finish each other's sentences like I'd finish your joke, or when you held me by my sleeve and pulled me through a crowded room. There were so many times that time slowed down like when you'd call me by my name, or when you'd remember something that I never expected you to. Then there were moments when you made time stop. Moments like when you told me I was funny, when you'd compliment my smile, when we'd talk about our friends when you sang Taylor Swift way off key to cheer me up. And when you hugged me. Gosh I swear time stopped when you hugged me. Every time our hands brushed, or when I caught your gaze from across the room, I know you noticed it too. But we're still best friends. I guess less than a year doesn't take one far.  Even though we walk away with bits of each other's soul and we know it.
