For starters, i was playing Deltarune on DAY 1 of Chapter 1 and by then i had been a huge RPG/JRPG fan and was well into Undertale. I Enjoyed Chapter 1 and I found Chapter 2 to do what Chapter 1 did good but like better. They have this open-ish world and it allows for some exploration albeit on a straight path. But the worlds are vast and have many diff places which makes it so fun!
CHAPTER 3 AND 4 COMPLETELY STRAY FROM THIS, ESPECIALLY CHAPTER 3!!! The lore and stuff is cool but I feel so confined!!! And another thing is THERE ARE WAY. TO. MANY. NEW MECHANICS. Toby is trying to add way to much new stuff and i dont think its working for the game! I miss going from point A to B with a long path ahead. Not all this piano guitar hero wall climbing stuff.
Hopefully chapter 5 will finally go back to Deltarunes roots...

Unless this has to do with accessibility issues, I presume the issue is that learning is hard.
I assume you would rather get comfortable playing what you know rather than having to deal with the mental stresses of learning. There isn't much I can say besides learning to get comfortable with learning and questioning realities even outside of games. It is beneficial for your wallet to only be playing what you know, but I promise you that Toby and many others have some great experiences if you put time and effort to the stresses of new challenges. It's also great for your own well being to be more willing to face external stressors often found in work and other parts of life.
The only other issue that could get in the way is how much time you want to spend learning and struggling, but I'm just gonna assume you are willing to spend as much time needed to beat at least the chapters.
i sort of made an update blog talking about how i actually fell in love with chapters....
