I think we grew too quickly out of the 2020 online alternative movement.
The fashion, the music, the aesthetics. God, it was all so great and we didn't appreciate it enough.
Even nowadays, and I never thought I'd say this, I kinda miss the quarantine. Like it sucked, obviously, but there was such a feeling of freedom online. Everyone was really nice (even if a bit too nice at times lmao), the music ruled, everyone looked so cool. I even miss watching the Dream SMP without having to worry about the fact that most of them are terrible people.
Quarantine feels like a blurry memory, and it's kinda druggy in that sense, so ig that's what feels so enticing. It went all so fast, but at the same time so slow, and so intense while being so stagnant too. Glitchcore music really defined how that time felt, cause I'm always craving it in a weird way and everytime I experience it again, it's a really weird experience because I can't fully capture the feeling I'm looking for.
Anyways, with everything said, I leave here the 2020 alt anthem.
