French Curl Braids

In recent months, the French curl braids have had a chokehold on black women. Compared to regular box/knotless braids with curls, the curled ends of French curl braids are more delicate and shiny. What isn't seen as much though, is the living hell that is the maintenance of French curl braids. The hair is tangled within a matter of hours, and the process to detangle takes forever. Smart braiders use small rubber hair ties to secure the ends of these braids, but if you have more traditional African braiders, they tie the ends with the hair itself, which seems like the better option, until you realize how quickly the knots come undone. Trying to untangle the ends is hell, every time you look another braid begins to unravel. The price and maintenance of French curl braids are enough to make me hate them. The traditional box braids with curls will never be beat.
