60 years ago, Neurodivergent and Disabled people (UNFORTUNATELY) were treated as parasites to society, supposedly leeching off the "abled" who were able to produce. Of course, this ablism is still very much prevalent and it fits them.
There will forever be marginalized groups under hierarchical societies simply because it is way easier to control and group people that way. Society can more easily brush you off if it's just the 1% specifically. But we (I'm counting myself since I am part of the queer community) can also be used as scapegoats and be the first to lose support in harder times, especially economical ones, where the poor material conditions shape the cultural environment into a hostile conservative one.
We have a loooooooong fight ahead of us.
Let me remind you 60 years ago black people didn't have rights.
60 years is not a lot...
There is still unfortunately racism, bigotry, fascism and ablism for that matter still around.

But to get to the point of my comment, you shouldn't let the assholes, and the rest of society get to you. Continue the fight, just surviving is enough of one.
