Life update after a year or so (University, go European, inline skating)

I somehow passed that analysis exam I was proper stressed about. Don’t even know how... swear down I only got like 2 out of 8 questions right. Guess everyone else flopped harder than me, so the lecturer had to lower the mark scheme or something.

Then in summer term, I did the operating systems exam. Man, I actually studied for that one, went through all the notes and that, and it felt like an actual wet dream. Like the lecturer knew exactly what I revised. Mad.

This term I’m gonna try do discrete maths. It's bare difficult though... lectures are moving mad, exercises don’t make sense, and the past papers are like, “How many of your hairs stretch from the Sun to Earth in millimetres?” Like bro, what?

So yeah… looking forward to that mess

Also, I ain’t tryna fund the US anymore, innit. Cancelled Disney+, Amazon Prime, and Netflix. Never touched YouTube without an adblock anyway. I’m fully on Linux... no way I’m letting Windows 11 nick half my ThinkPad storage. That OS is moving criminal. My Nikes are falling apart too, so I’m switching to Adidas. 

And listen, I’m fully committed to speaking proper British English now — none of that Yankee nonsense. There’s no way I’m using their shoddy version when I could use the better, more refined, and frankly more global British variety.

I've also taken up inline skating recently. I went ice skating for the first time in about nine years this past winter and honestly, I loved it. So I picked up a pair of inline skates for the off-season, and now I go skating in an empty car park when the shop’s closed. It’s genuinely brilliant — you can just switch your brain off, chuck some music on, and enjoy it.

The weirdest thing though — the most random people decide to show up in that exact same car park. Like… mate, it’s not even near a cycle path. If you don’t live nearby, you’ve got no business being there. You have to go out of your way to even find the place if you’re not local. It’s bizarre.

Also started jogging again. And somehow, after a nine-month break, I managed to beat my 5k record — on the very first run. Like… what
