You’re not alone

Let me tell you about my journey from active addiction to recovery. When I was a teenager I got addicted to meth until my sister had my nephew in 2009. She placed him in my arms and said ok you have to make a choice meth or your nephew… I chose my nephew. Fast forward 2017 I relapsed in June of 2020 I started shooting up in September of 2020 cps opened a case on me and took my son and placed him with relatives. I got pregnant with my youngest in October I stopped shooting Jan 18,2021. No one would hire me due to being pregnant in aug cps wanted to close my case and keep ej with relatives however the judge did not agree and gave me one last shot. Now I have a job, place, and going back to school we go back dec.14 to court and my case will be closed. I hope the judge will be glad his last chance for me didn’t go to waste and let EJ come home. I had my youngest July 21,2021 cps allowed me to keep DJ since I am progressing in the case plan and we both was negative for drugs. So I hope that’s another factor the judge will remember and give me my oldest back. If anyone is going through cps right now YOU. CAN. DO.IT!!! You have to get rid of all your “friends” that are staying in active addiction which they wasn’t your friends to begin with. They don’t give two shits about you when you don’t have the drug they want. They will bring you down because they don’t want you to succeed… well most of them if you have that one friend that is in active addiction and is truly being your cheerleader and will even tell you if you go back to that lifestyle they will kick your ass keep him or her. I have one friend that is still in active addiction and threatened me she would kick my ass if I come back to that. She tells people about me in hopes it will help someone else get out of that lifestyle. I wish it was enough to get her out of it but it is what it is. I have blocked everyone else including family members from my life. It may get lonely sometimes because you don’t have as many people in your life but the “boring” life is so much better than the street life. It’s so relaxing. So again you are not alone and you can do it don’t listen to cps with their weird tactics of testing you in order to see if you relapse and give up the fight
