in an alternate universe, pride wasn't cancelled! anyways, here's what i did in this one

 NOW PLAYING: Ass2Mars - Machine Girl  

it's 1am (at least when i started writing this it was). i got back from hanging out with my husband like HOOUURRSSS ago. we've already been together all day, and we've just been watching a playthrough of a game he and our friend both like. hell, i'm catching onto it myself (Date Everything!) due to the characters and dialogue, and i haven't even ventured towards visual novels! thank you, Spook, for showing me just how stupidly quick it is for me to become enamored over characters based off of household items /silly.

but, back to yesterday. i left my place playing some Linkin Park and Deftones, wearing at least half of the outfit i planned for the parade. my makeup was what felt most affirming at the moment, albeit a little rushed--red and brown eyeshadow, black eyeliner, and an eyebrow pencil. note that i use all of these with literally no tutorials, it's all pretty imperfect. it looked sick regardless!

my ORIGINAL outfit was this black polo that i cut up. the sleeves were cut into spikes/triangles and i managed not to fuck it up. i wore these knockoff Hot Topic tripps that zipped off into shorts, then short-shorts. i paired those with some combat boots i thrifted that are kinda falling apart but it's okay, they're still my favorite pair. yes, i would've planned to be in all-black in the blistering south, while outside most of the day. it happens without me realizing, and before i know it, i'm ALREADY standing there thinking, "being alt is a death sentence."

my makeup would've been MUCH cooler than it was beforehand, i kinda lost the energy to go all out and decided to stick with something more mellow. i drew stitches down the middle of my face, but it wasn't exactly in the middle, it was really clinging to the right and left a lot more room to draw on myself on the left. it connected to my neck, since i ALWAYS draw neck stitches on myself when i've got the opportunity, and i was going to do something like so with both eyes; the right one would have black eyeliner under it drawn like sunrays. the left wouldn't have much, but would have (i guess what i'm calling) more masculine eye makeup. really, the whole split-thing was an idea i intended to freestyle, but i had garnered this as a concept the night before as i made my outfit. 

it was meant to be a represent the nonbinary/xenic and masc influence on my gender, with the 'masculine side' purposefully being shown more since that's the side i embrace the most. this, however, doesn't fully leave out the xenogenders i am, thus giving the other side purpose. to be fair, the two sides aren't as split as i'd paint them to be--they mix Very often, in various different ways. it's just rare to ENTIRELY feel completely nonbinary or completely masculine--i simply cannot have one without the other. (well, maybe in specific conditions, cough cough, whenever i pass infront of a cis guy /copingjoke)

we went to the same location as previously promised, and i essentially just hung out with my bf and his parents. we ate lunch at a deli that had REALLY good fries (they might've been sweet potato fries... first time having those) and proceeded afterwards to go check out some comic and nerd based shops. i got myself a few zombie/horror themed ones, vampire fangs, a sick face mask, and some pop rocks. (my GOD pop rocks are so good for literally no reason.)

afterwards, i headed back to his place and helped with some chores. we briefly cuddled afterwards for a good few minutes before i had to be taken home (bummer, we were listening to some really good alternative/alt rock and german punk the whole time). i have yet to be able to stay at his place overnight, but we're working something out. it just sucks having to leave at all, really. it's always so comforting and serene in his room.. and being with his parents, who are like polar opposites of mine, is like being brought into another world. but that's a post for another evening.

but yeah! moral of the story is, despite not doing all we hoped to do, it was still a pretty good day. i'm glad i went :-).
