i mostly read graphic novels and comics, but if you're into those i have some reccomendations.

'motor crush' by cameron fletcher, brendan stewart, and babs tarr is a fun sci-fi action indie series by the creators behind batgirl of burnside, about a world class racer named domino swift who street races by night in illegal bike fights in her beach side town for a mysterious "machine narcotic" called crush.

'batman: the knight' by chip zdarsky is an arc centering on bruce wayne before he becomes batman, embarking on a journey around the world as NormalGuy (trademark) jack shaw, learning all the essentials for his mission in crime fighting and makes both friends and enemies along the way

'batgirl' by brian q miller is a 24 issue long series that ran from 2009 to 2011 starring stephanie brown as she takes over the mantle in the wake of the previous batgirl, cassandra cain, leaving gotham. as she makes the transition from spoiler/robin to batgirl, she learns what the title means to her and forms a close bond with former batgirl barbara gordon, now calling herself oracle.

'robin' volume 1 and 'robin ii: the joker's wild!' by chuck dixon, these stories are stand alones starring tim drake in his early days as robin, succeeding the previous robin, jason todd, after his untimely murder. we watch him quickly learn the ropes to being a gotham vigilante, learning from the way he observes batman, and seeing him form a bond with alfred pennyworth as they get used to living with each other.

'b*tch planet' by kelly sue deconnick is a feminist sci-fi indie comic about a world in which women who don't bend to the rules of society are met with deportation to a prison planet nicknamed b*tch planet where they're marked with a "non-compliant" tattoo. (the title is uncensored btw the site just wont let me say it)

'eat, and love yourself' by sweeney boo, a 160 page indie graphic novel explores topics of self love, body positivity, and eating disorders.

all fun reads!! lmk if you end up reading any of these <333
