So like. Usagi would defo main Peach. Because Peach is a cute princess and Usagi would like to project and the stereotype is that Peach players are good and she would henceforth believe this to improve her skill. (Secondarily she’d play Joker on the basis of being attracted to him.)

Ami mains Starfox only after she’s hovered over each option and turned to Usagi to have her explain what they’re like (Usagi enjoys the chance to infodump.)

Rei mains Mario because she thinks getting excited about things is embarrassing and wants to choose the most ‘idgaf’ option

Makoto mains Daisy because Usagi coveted Peach and she wants to play a cute girly character. (She’ll also sometimes play Rosalina for this reason.)

Minako mains Isabelle because you cannot convince me that girl wouldn’t run her island like the navy.
