Why is everyone on this site so terminally self-absorbed? You are not the main character. You're not the next Plato. You're 21, drowning in debt, and ranting on an internet forum like the rest of us.
I don't give a shit if we disagree, whatever that happens—what pisses me off is this smug, "I'm so intellectually superior" act you pull the second someone challenges your batshit take. That's when I stop respecting you entirely.
No one here can just disagree. It's all or nothing. Either you're 100% right, or suddenly the other person is a Nazi, a genocidal commie, or some cartoon villain you made up in your head.
Is that what you want? An echo chamber? A personal cult where everyone parrots your views so you can bust a nut every time the top blog is another 9-paragraph anarchist wet dream?

that's why i'm never really reading the top blogs, i'll give kudos to the silly and fun ones where people are just being themselves and showing art or something they made or talking about music they like, or some stuff my friends post (which is pretty much what i described)
I agree, spacehey is so much fun if you just don't give a fuck about the petty dramas and just enjoy the site for whatever it is for ^_^

The truth is, some of the worst breeds of people tend to gather on these sites. When I came on here 2 years ago, it was just the same. As much as we wish it could be, I doubt much will change.

This! It's like Instagram all over again. Probably because there are a lot of people like that on TikTok/Instagram coming into this site. Here I am trying to flee away from the crazy Insta mentality but they're here ToT (there's two top blogs on here that already did that. It's not wrong entirely but it's annoyingly dramatic)

I agree with this cause although I have barely even been on this site for an hour I have not seen any kind of people the OP has described so my guess is that its targeted at a specific person (?) but even then its kind of unfair to group the entire community together as this..

No, seriously. I got blocked all because I sent someone a friend request. I think their only follower was their girlfriend. Why join a website dedicated to making friends if the only person who is allowed to interact with you is your girlfriend? All they had to do was reject the request instead of treating me like I was a weirdo for trying to interact

People are saying it’s the entire internet, but Spacehey is FULL of the people that do that here. Some of these people in the comments saying they haven’t seen this kind of behavior before or claiming you’re wrong either haven’t observed Spacehey enough or contributes in it, and don’t want to take accountability. I feel like this is just all of the internet. Unfortunately, our generation (GenZ) has grown up to be extremely self absorbed, judgemental and moralistic. It's so sad to see so many "haters" online, when did bullying become normalised again?
