Here's a (hopefully) permanent fix for it:
YouTube only. Works only on desktop.
<iframe width="1" height="1" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/PUT_YT_ID_LINK//?&;amp;;autoplay=1&;loop=1" title="none" frameborder="0" allow="accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture" allowfullscreen=""> </iframe>
Replace the bolded text with the last id of your YouTube link.
Example:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dQw4w9WgXcQ
Copy paste the last ID after "watch?v="
<iframe width="1" height="1" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/dQw4w9WgXcQ//?&;amp;;autoplay=1&;loop=1" title="none" frameborder="0" allow="accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture" allowfullscreen=""> </iframe>
Enjoy this fix!
Add me if this works or leave a comment!
Note that this DOESN'T WORK ON SAFARI.
Recommended browsers are: Google Chrome or any chromium-based browsers like Opera, and Brave. Quantum (Firefox) engine browser. They both use something that make this work.

ty!!! this was drivin me CRAZY!! (⊙_◎)
An
Nice trick, but I'm really trying to find out what causes the "normal" method not to work... it always seems to work on my end.
Could you maybe help me figure out the problem why autoplay doesn't woprk for some people?
For example this code works fine on my end. Does it work for you?
<iframe src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/dQw4w9WgXcQ?autoplay=1"></iframe>
For some reason it doesn't work for me. I've tried Firefox, Chrome, and Brave browser.
Latest Windows 11 & Firefox latest from Manjaro (Linux)
The only thing that works successfully was this trick I've found, I've tried other methods like the "normal" methods and sometimes it works (sometimes, like very rarely to work), but in the meantime it ended up not working.

Most browsers do not support this autoplay code anymore
if you want that to autoplay, you have to mute the video
browser makers probably just agreed autoplaying YT audio was a bad idea. . .
May I ask what type of browser you use? I'm very curious to know what type of browser allows autoplay. I do recall some browsers allowing for autoplay if you have interacted with the website before the autoplay function is activated. That could be specific to javascript tho...

DAMNNIT, my formatting got FUCKED.
if you add
&;mute=1
to the end of your YT url,the video will always autoplay, only without sound.

here's google explaining why they abandoned the autoplay feature:

i also found out that this do not work on safari >:(
but there are loads of incorrect html rendering on that browser.
very laggy aswell :S
also i gotta say
you got a very nice song on your profile now John
Seems like it only works for Quantum (Firefox) and Desktop Chromium browsers (Chrome, Brave, Opera), I haven't tried it on Safari before since I only use Windows and Linux. Does your safari have its latest version?
by John-Richard Javier; ; Report
My Safari version is: Version 15.1 ( probably the latest? )
I dug around in the browser and it looks like spacehey.com isn't loading my entire page...
When I try to view-source on spacehey specifically, nothing shows because it just loads.
Does not happen anywhere else on the web (i tested like 2 other sites, and they worked fine).
Autoplaying YT videos with your method, as well as mine, functions on all the online HTML tester websites I played with...
It seems like Safari get stuck at something in the spacehey code, but I got no idea!
Gonna find a spacehey friendly autoplay function for all devices and browsers (no mini support tho).
Oh sick trick: if you add &;controls=0 to your youtube URL, the users volume preferances get reset, and the video will be H E L L A loud

Seems like Safari is the problem, since Safari is fast on loading modern webpages and since modern websites uses CSS and HTML5, safari is only optimized on those website engines. And yes i've tried that trick before and I jumped cuz i thought my speaker was like on a really volume low volume lmao.
Try to fix the autoplay problem on Safari by trying this:
for Safari on desktop, it's under Preferences > Websites > Auto-Play; for Chrome, it's Settings > Privacy and Security > Site Settings > Media > Auto-Play; look up Google for other browsers.
OR:
Security > Site Settings > View Permissions and Date (Below your recent activity) > Spacehey.com > Scroll to "Sound" > Click the drop down icon and hit "Allow"
